Andree is all over the Alabama record books from her 4 years competing with the Gym Tide. She was the 2002 Honda Award winner as a senior and a Honda Award finalist as a freshman in 1999, and was named 2002 Athlete of the Year. After finishing her NCAA Gymnastics eligibility, Andree began pole vaulting and actually went to the 2008 Olympic Trials for track and field, twelve year after she went for gymnastics in 1996.

SEC Athlete Of The Year AND Honda Award Winner

Andree Pickens cleaned up her senior year of NCAA Gymnastics competition, winning both the SEC Female Athlete of the Year Award as well as the 2002 Honda Award. She talks about both of those awards and what they mean to her.

Here's the extensive list of all the other awards Andree racked up in 2002 alone: NCAA Top Eight Award winner, Honda-Broderick Award, NCAA women of the Year for the state of Alabama, NCAA Uneven Bar Champion, Scholastic All-American, AAI American Award, Only gymnast in NCAA history to earn five All-American titles in two different seasons, Finished first in the all-around at the NCAA Super Six, NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship Finalist, NCAA Region 4 Gymnast of the Year, SEC Female Athlete of the Year, SEC Community Service Award, SEC Gymnast of the Year, Academic All-SEC, All-SEC (first SEC gymnast in league history to earn four individual titles in the same year), Set school record in the All-Around, 39.850, and was Alabama’s Student Athlete Advisory Board President
