awful......no wonder us gymnasts are horrible dancers...this warm-up has no grace built into it at all.......there is a better way than this.

I never said this...
Interesting to see how narrow minded some people can be. I don't say they have the truth but why would those coaches have better knowledge? That's absolutely the same!
If other physiotherapists are out there, I would like to have their two cents. Or what these girls physiotherapists think about this warm-up and which problems they could have in a few decades.

Sooo basically some physical therapist in some other country told your dad that those exercises are bad which therefore means that their word is the gold standard? Hmmmm interesting ...

I don't know the names since English is not my mother tongue : that's when you are lying on your back and lifting the torso and the legs at the same time.
My father's got a disc herniation two years ago and got to do rehabilitation for a couple of months. Physiotherapists out there told him to never do these moves that are actually very bad. Your lower back has to always touch the ground.

It's surprising to see how high level gymnastics coaches include exercises in their warm-up that are very bad for the lower back!

Pretty cool to see, how long does it all actually take? Id say no more than 15 minutes?

There are a really large amount of girls there - are they all the elites, pre-elites, level 10s, even level 9s?

I like that Chris compared it to being a newcomer to an aerobics class. I'd never thought of it that way, but surely it is intimidating for young ones to go into a training camp and have to do this in unison with everyone else and not really know what is going on.
