#23	Gym Fan July 31, 2009 at 4:05am Know nothing about the program? Are you crazy? I fully support the Aunt Joyce blog and what the author says about Lizzy. And just for the record lots of other people have doubts ESPECIALLY about Jordyn Weiber and the fast pace she is/has taken. Lots and lots of people don't think she needs to be throwing Amanars around when she is only 13 years old. Don't even get me started on her and why her coach is bad news bears just like the twins.
#22	Anonymous Coward July 30, 2009 at 7:12pm Aunt Joyce's Ice Cream stand is horribly mistaken and a terrible reflection on the gymnastics community as a whole. First and foremost Lizzy isn't being pushed any faster than any other Jr. International Elite nor would moving to another gym help her out at all. The blog states that she needs to slow down and learn how to compete and win level 10. HELLO this child won level 10 nationals. The blog also states that she is too young to be a Jr. International Elite - Madison Kocian from WOGA is younger than Lizzy, never competed level 10 and is now also an international elite. The SAME track that Jordan Wieber took who was 10 years old at her first level 10 nationals and went on to become a Jr. Elite one year later. Also younger than Lizzy. The blog states that Carly Patterson moved away from the twins to be coached at WOGA and they slowed her down. Again this is false. Carly Patterson went elite at 11 years old, moved to WOGA at 12 and was on an international assignment two months later. They did not slow her down, rather encouraged her to keep pace with her elite training. Who ever the author is of this blog is seriously mistaken about the Texans and their coaches. These girls are happy and healthy. Are there injuries? Yes, there sure are but there are also injuries at other gyms it's the nature of the sport not the fault of the coaches. The gym is not perfect, nor are the parents there but what gym is? I have yet to hear of one. The gymnastics community, especially the parents need to learn how to be supportive instead of jealous and spiteful. It just feels really bad to always have to defend a little girl with a dream - she should be commended for staying positive and continuing training when people seem to think there is something wrong with her doing what MANY gymnasts have done before her. Trashing this gym or this child is accomplishing nothing, it's a waste of time and energy. Try supporting the kid and being happy that she has acheived this level of success in her young age. Don't be so quick to judge when you know nothing about this program.

#19	Anonymous Coward July 30, 2009 at 12:19pm #18, go to google and type in---Aunt Joyce's Ice Cream Stand and lizzy leduc, press the very first link that comes up, and scroll down untill you find the blog entry titled The Rushing of Lizzy Leduc, its about the 5th or 6th one down, but its there so keep scrolling...........there are also a couple videos added from her in the covergirl classic!
